Quite simply this is the BEST Pet Gate ever!! Just step on the foot pedal and the gate swings open in either direction for you to walk through. No hands needed! While super-easy for humans, we have yet to see a dog, or even several dogs working together, figure out how to open this gate!!! Our dog knows she has to step on the pedal, but even her 35-ish pounds is not enough to open this gate! You'll want more than one of these fine indoor pet gates, that's for sure! Sturdy powder coat aluminum cleans easily. Fits standard doorways 29" to 34" wide. Audible click indicates gate has locked behind you. Extension kits allows fit to 44" extra wide (see photo on "Gate Page"). 32" high when mounted flush to floor; open space between bars is 2.25". Pressure mounted design won't mar walls or doorways. Instructions and mounting tool included. (Note that this gate also meets all regulations for babies, too.)
